Good Morning Middle School Parents and Guardians,

Our staff is back in full force and preparing for your child(ren) to return! It has been wonderful to be back together and we are looking forward to next Tuesday, September 1st.

In the last communication I noted the change in prescription medication (all prescription medication will need to be counted by a parent and office staff member when initially dropped off-by appointment). I wanted to reiterate for any new families that all medication (prescription or over the counter) needs to be housed in the office and a medication form needs to be completed. The form can be found on the Middle School Home page, Menu, Health Forms, Medication Authorization.

As we are all trying to go more paperless, we are asking that if your child is going to be leaving early for an appointment to email the front office (Jeannine: jhalverson@hgsd.k12.wi.us or Lonna: lnear@hgsd.k12.wi.us) and your child’s homeroom teacher. This will eliminate the need for students to come to the front office with a hand written note.

All Middle School students in grades 6th-8th will have an automatic password reset pushed out today. The new “temporary” password will be “hgms” followed by the year of graduation (example: for a 6th grade student- hgms2027). As a reminder, usernames are formatted as followed, two digits of year graduating- last name-first initial (example: 6th grade student Johnny Smythe, username would be 27smythej@hgtigers.com)

Thank you all for your support, patience, and cooperation with all of these new changes. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
