Howards Grove Junior Racks up College Credits and practical work internship experiences at Howards Grove High School. Students are able to earn up to 30+ college credits at Howards Grove High School with articulations and agreements with Lakeland College and Lakeshore Technical College. In addition, students have the opportunity to get real-world job experience through both the Youth Apprenticeship programming and our Career Internships.
Howards Grove High School educates approximately 270 students in grades 9-12. We are located in Sheboygan County in the Village of Howards Grove just minutes from Lake Michigan. Our students can participate in a wide variety of academic, athletic and co-curricular opportunities at HGHS. We offer college level credit opportunities for our students through Advanced Placement (AP) courses and several CAPP credit courses articulated with Lakeland College. In addition we offer career opportunities through our work experience programs at HGHS that include the Youth Apprenticeship Program with Lakeshore Technology College, and our Career Internship Program. A reminder to all students that the High School blood drive is Tuesday, February 9 from 9:30-2:30. If you are 16 or older and you would like to donate blood, sign up for an appointment in Mrs. Elias' room. Sixteen-year-old students need a parent permission form. See Mrs. Elias if you need a form.
Any students interested in Youth Apprenticeship for next year must attend an informational night Monday, February 8th at LTC. (Only if you did not attend on Monday, Feb 1) See Ms Lamers with any questions.
There will be a mandatory player/parent Tennis meeting held on Wednesday, February 17th at 5:00pm in the High School library for any athletes who are interested in playing Tennis this spring. If you are unable to attend see Mrs. Hill to get important information.
Valentine Candy Grams
Student Council will be selling Valentine Candy grams, Monday thru Wednesday next week during both lunches. Suckers will be sold for $1.00 each and stuffed animals will be sold for $1.50 each.

Pause for a Cause t-shirt
Pause for a Cause t-shirts are now for sale. They are $10 each. Order forms are available in the High School Office. To order bring the order form and payment to the High School Office by Friday, February 26. All proceeds benefit the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
Pause for a Cause 5K Run/Walk
Pause for A Cause 5K Run/Walk will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 4:30pm at Howards Grove High School. The fee is $20. (which includes Pause for a Cause t-shirt with special 5K back print). Registration forms are available at each school. Payment and registration fee are due in the High School Office by March 2. All proceeds to benefit the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

College Goal Wisconsin 2016 is offering free & professional on-site assistance in completing the FAFSA. Sessions are being held in Fond du Lac on Saturday February 20th at 10:00am, and in Manitowoc on Wednesday, February 24th at 6:00pm. Job Shadow in Health Field
A Career Experience opportunity is available on April 27th from 1:30-4:15 pm at Aurora Sheboygan. Any student wanting to eventually do any kind of Job Shadow in the Health field is required to attend a Career Experience first. Five area of Health care will be presented, including Surgery, Cardiac Rehab, Speech Therapy, Behavioral Health, and Lab Services.

Hunters Education Course
The Howards Grove Rod and Gun Club is sponsoring a Hunters Education Course. Classes will be held at the Rod and Gun Club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8:30pm, with one Saturday morning field day. The dates for the classes are: April 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, and 21st, with the field day on the 23rd. There is a $10.00 fee and all classes are mandatory to graduate. Parents and adults are encouraged to enroll and participate.
Registration and collection of fee, Q&A, and handing out of materials will be held during parent-teacher conferences February 16th from 5-7:30pm and the 17th from 5-6:30pm at the Howards Grove Middle School.
