Lakeshore Driftbusters Youth Snowmobile meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 4:00pm in the High School Library.
Scholarship season is in full force! For current listing of scholarships please log on to the Howards Grove High School web site, click on the GUIDANCE tab and click on SCHOLARSHIPS. Hard copies of most scholarships are available in the Guidance Office. The site is updated as they come in so check often! Stop in the Guidance Office with any questions.
There will be a meeting in room B190 on Tuesday, February 3 during Advisement. We will discuss Regionals, fundraising, and community service. If you are traveling to Regionals on Saturday, February 7, please be sure that you have your permission slip signed and turned in. Also, all Kwik-Trip fundraising forms and payment must be in by the meeting on Tuesday so we can place our order.
RW Baseball Camp
The 7th Annual RW Baseball Camp for grades 6-12 is being held on Sunday, February 22 and Sunday, March 1 at Howards Grove High School from 6pm to 8pm and Sunday, March 8 at Bullpen in Sheboygan. The camp features Minor League pitchers Brian Binversie, PJ Weber and Charlie Reschke along with semi-pro and college coaches including Kyle McGranahan owner of Bullpen. Registration forms are available in the High School Office or on Facebook at RW Baseball Camps. Please register by February 8. Special offer includes one month of lessons at Bullpen!
RW Baseball LLC has produced 10 All-State players and numerous All-Conference players. All aspects of the game will be covered from pitching, catching, infield, outfield, with an emphasis on individual hitting instruction. FAFSA Completion Program
UW-Sheboygan will be hosting a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Completion Program on Saturday, February 28, 2015 9:30am - 11:30am at the UW-Sheboygan Campus. This program is open to anyone. UW Sheboygan Open House
On Thursday, March 19th, 2015 6:00pm-8:00pm visit the UW-Sheboygan Campus for their Open House. Campus tours will be offered throughout the evening beginning at 7pm. All Juniors are required by the State of Wisconsin to take the ACT Plus Writing on March 3rd, and the ACT WorkKeys on March 4th. Both tests will start at 7:45 am. Any Junior in a Youth Apprenticeship or Career Internship will be excused from those activities...THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL.
Additionally, all Juniors will be required to attend a mandatory ACT registration meeting on Monday, March 2nd in the Commons at 12:45. No exceptions! See Mr Nennig if any questions.
NMU Virtual Visit Day
NMU Virtual Visit Day!
NMU is hosting its first Virtual Visit Day! Connect with NMU via web to learn more about NMU, ask questions, and see the campus! NMU would like to invite interested students to participate in NMU Virtual Visit Day on Feb. 4 th and 5 th. It’s a chance to have a different technological experience, and to see a school you might not have otherwise visited. Presentations will be held at 9am, 11am, and 1pm on both days.
Career Pathway Interactive also has capabilities to present NMU majors and related careers. The Guidance Office can connect to NMU and make it possible for interested students to speak with current students and professors about different jobs and the preparations students need to take to fulfill their goals.

Attention Seniors: Please stop by the High School Office to pay for your graduation attire. Checks should be made payable to Howards Grove High School. After you have paid, please take your receipt to Mrs. Hill’s room (B250) to order your graduation attire.
Every graduate needs a cap, gown, and one tassel.
Based on your individual needs, please see the below list of cost breakdowns to determine what you need to order.
$25.05 for a cap, gown, and tassel, all of which you keep
$14.50 for a cap and tassel, both of which you keep
$6.25 for each extra tassel, all of which you keep

Hunters Education Course
The Howards Grove Rod and Gun Club is sponsoring a Hunters Education Course. Classes will be held at the Rod and Gun Club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm-8:30pm, with one Saturday morning field day. The dates for the classes are: April 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, with the field day on the 25th. There is a $10.00 fee and all classes are mandatory to graduate. Parents and adults are encouraged to enroll and participate. Registration and collection of fee, Q&A, and handing out of materials will be held during parent-teacher conferences February 17th and 19th from 4:30pm-8:00pm at the Howards Grove Middle School.
UW System Regional Placement Testing
March 21st and April 11th at UW-Sheboygan. Registration begins February 1st, students can register on the UW-Sheboygan web site www.sheboygan.uwc.edu Watch for posters near the Guidance Office.

Silent Auction - Pause for a Cause
Donations, Donations, Donations. The Annual "Pause For A Cause" silent auction committee is looking for donations for their Silent Auction on Wednesday March 25th. We are looking for actual themed "baskets", new items, or monetary donations to assist in designing these baskets. We already have an autographed football from this years Packers team.
