Howards Grove Student Racks up College Credits and practical work internship experiences at Howards Grove High School. Students are able to earn up to 30+ college credits at Howards Grove High School with articulations and agreements with Lakeland College and Lakeshore Technical College. In addition, students have the opportunity to get real-world job experience through both the Youth Apprenticeship programming and our Career Internships.
Howards Grove High School educates approximately 270 students in grades 9-12. We are located in Sheboygan County in the Village of Howards Grove just minutes from Lake Michigan. Our students can participate in a wide variety of academic, athletic and co-curricular opportunities at HGHS. We offer college level credit opportunities for our students through Advanced Placement (AP) courses and several CAPP credit courses articulated with Lakeland College and UW-Oshkosh. In addition we offer career opportunities through our work experience programs at HGHS that include the Youth Apprenticeship Program with Lakeshore Technology College, and our Career Internship Program. The HGHS Baseball team will hold a brief 15 minute meeting today at 2:05pm in the Library. Coach Weber will give a brief presentation, explain the new JV program and provide handouts. All incoming Freshman and anyone else interested in playing should attend. Coach Schmid will allow football players to attend and return to weightlifting after the baseball meeting.
We are looking for Sophmores, Juniors and Seniors that would like to be a student leader for Challenge Day. If interested please come to a brief meeting this Friday, Sept 30 in Mrs Kneser's room during Advisement.
Dance Team Fundraiser
The Howards Grove Dance Team will be holding a Car Wash Fundraiser at Klemme's Wagon Wheel on Saturday, Oct 1 from 10am to 2pm. There will also be a bake sale!! We hope to see you there!

Banned Books Week
STAND UP for your RIGHT to READ during Banned Books Week September 25-October 1. The books featured during Banned Books Week have all been targeted with removal or restrictions in libraries and schools. While books have been and continue to be banned, part of the Banned Books Week celebration is the fact, the books have remained available for your reading enjoyment. Stop in the Library this week to see how many of the Banned Books which have shaped America you may have already read.
Looking For Volunteers
The Middle School is looking for volunteers to tutor Middle School students on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays after school until 3:30pm. They are looking for High School students to make a commitment to volunteer by month, term, or sport season. If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity please stop by the Guidance Office and sign up.

Northview Elementary School Gym

The PTO is holding a garage sale in the Northview gym to raise money for field trip bussing. We are looking for clean, working, gently used donations of clothes, toys, books, household items, holiday items, sports equipment, small furniture, etc. (no electronics-computers, printers, tvs, etc. or large appliances). Donations can be dropped off Friday, October 7th from 3:45-6pm using the north entrance doors near the gym or you may schedule a pick up the week before. Manufacturing Rocks Career Day
LTC invites you to participate in hands-on activities in six high-tech manufacturing areas, and talk with instructors about advanced manufacturing career training. This event will be held on Friday, October 14th from 9am - 2:15pm and is limited to 120 students, so registration is required. See Mr. Howard for more information.
Howards Grove Volleyball 6th Annual Pink out Fundraiser and Volleyball Tournament
Mark your calendar to attend our volleyball tournament and brat fry. Saturday, October 15 from 9am-4pm at the High School. Volleyball games start at 9am. A LOT of raffle items. There will be a large variety of concessions available.
Dance team, Drum line and Pep Band performances as well. Proceeds from t-shirt sales ($10 each) and raffles all benefit the Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund. Food proceeds benefit the volleyball program. T-shirts are sold at all home football or volleyball games and the day of the event.
Student Help (Vacuuming / Cleaning) at Northview Elementary School
Main duty will be to assist with vacuuming/cleaning duties as directed; primarily at Northview Elementary School. Work schedule will be 3 hours after school, 2 to 3 days per week. Must be at least 15 years old to apply, and you must have your own transportation to Northview.
