Dear HGSD Parents, Staff and Community,                                                      April 16th, 2021

Thank you for your ongoing efforts to keep our school open and keep our students and staff safe.  Our attendance rates across the district remain consistently strong.   Please continue to watch and monitor you child(ren) for possible symptoms before sending them to school.  Don’t forget that vaccines for COVID-19 are now available.  Pfizer is the only COVID-19 vaccine currently authorized for 16 and 17 year olds.

The window for families to open enroll their children to Howards Grove is open through April 30th.  If you know families who are interested, applications are available on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Website.  https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment

Thank you Northview staff, students, and families for your commitment to ending childhood poverty through Joke-Ha-Thon and Red Nose Day.  This was a fun and silly week of telling jokes and raising money for an amazing cause.  We were impressed with the confidence of our students and their willingness to do something bigger than themselves by showing empathy towards others they may never meet.

Online registration has opened for summer school. Class descriptions, schedules, and the Google form to register are available on all three of the school's websites. To access select one of the schools in the drop-down menu, select menu, Summer School 2021. Online registration closes on April 30th. If you have any questions, contact Heather Zizis at hzizis@hgsd.k12.wi.us or Shelly Kuether at skuether@hgsd.k12.wi.us .

On Monday, the regular monthly meeting of the school board will be held at 7pm.  A link to watch the meeting is available on the district website www.hgsd.k12.wi.us .

As always, thank you for your continued support of the Howards Grove School District.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us if you have questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Chris Peterson, Scott Fritz, Heather Zizis, Jason Cole, Josh Swanson, and Tracy Bandt
