The Howards Grove Youth Trap Team wants to give back to its members and aid them in their future endeavors. Howards Grove Youth Trap relies heavily on sponsors and fundraising events to support the team and wants to further support its members with opportunity in the form of a scholarship.

The Lakeshore Officials Association (LOA) is pleased to introduce our annual scholarship program. This scholarship has been established to assist graduates in continuing their education at the post secondary level. The funding of the scholarship has come from the generosity of the members of the LOA who have officiated athletic competitions at the area high schools who have utilized our services. As members of the association, we share the common belief that by providing scholarships, we can help our aspiring youth achieve their goals.

Eligibility:

  1. Each applicant must be a graduating senior from a school who’s Athletic Director utilizes the services of LOA in part or whole for a Varsity sport.
  2. Each applicant must have earned at least one varsity letter through participation in a varsity sport.
  3. Each applicant must have an accumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale)
  4. The individual shall exemplify excellence towards athletics, sportsmanship, school and community.
  5. Each Applicant must return the enclosed application packet by the due date posted.

Applicants must be a Howards Grove High School Senior and have participated in the Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts during his academic career. Applicants should demonstrate academic success, involvement in community and participation in school activities.

Recipient will receive a $250 scholarship to be used at an accredited public or private college, university or vocational school or for purchasing tools for your apprenticeship.

TRADITIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION

One traditional student with an epilepsy diagnosis; a traditional student is defined as a high school senior OR a high school graduate who has taken no more than two years off before beginning their first year of higher education at a community college, a four year college or university, or a technical / vocational school.

A $1000 scholarship will be awarded in this category.
